Montessori is a method created by dr Maria Montessori (1870 - 1952). Method based on observing, following children's  intrest and respecting their needs. Montessori school is different in many aspects from traditional school. We have here: multi - age classroom; family atmosphere; individual and small group lessons; peace in education; emphasis on learning and individuality; child centre schedule and environment; freedom of choice (children can choose what material they want to work with and how many times they want to repeat the task); freedom of movement (children can choose place of their work); children learn by using five senses.

Montessori program is based on five curriculums:

"Help me to do it myself"

M. Montessori

Practical Life - simple activities which stimulate child's hand - eye coordination, total body control movements, concentration (foundation for future learning process) and independence.

Sensorial - activities which purpose is to refine child's senses. Through this activities children lay the foundation of their intelligence and logical thinking by continually observing, comparing, matching and judging.

Culture - including appropriate level of moduls such as: Bothany, Zoology, Anthropology, Georaphy and History. The main aim here is to expand children's knowledge, interest for the world around them; make them aware of themself as a integral part of the environment and develop their respect for all living things.

Mathematic - we present children to the materials which help them to see, feel and understand the quantities in the very real way. Through this exercises children  become familiar with quantities, symbols, decimal system  and even first operations.

Language - our purpose is to increase children's vocabulary, present them first sounds, pre- writing activities, word building and eventually start three and four letter word reading program (based on the phonetic approach).
